Recently the U.S. Department of Education announced that it no longer recognises the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools ACICS as an accrediting agency. This decision affects more than 250 Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certified schools from acics loss of accreditation and programs that are accredited by ACICS in the United States.
What is Loss Of Accreditation?
Generally, In many cases, a loss of accreditation will force the college or university to close its doors. This is because the school will no longer be eligible to receive federal and state financial aid, which is an important source of funding for many universities or colleges. It is not illegal for a university or school to operate without institutional accreditation from the US Department of education. however, in some special cases, the school may continue to enrol students. But it is not safe for the international F1 students to study in the ACICS accreditation loss schools.
F-1 International students must take immediate action if they are attending any of the below-listed schools, as they will not be eligible for OPT extension in the future.
